Star Maths Starters
Client: Scholastic
Star Maths Starters is an appealing 6-disk CD ROM maths teaching resource that really engages young people. We produced the CD ROM for publishers Scholastic. It accompanies Scholastic’s Star Maths Starters resource book series for primary school years 1-6.
National Numeracy Strategy design focus
Each maths teaching resource disk has 30 motivating interactive starter activities. These activities make learning fun and can be applied to real life, with themes like ‘shopping money problems’, ‘clocks’ and ‘maps’.
Each exercise on the CD ROM is
- linked to The New Primary Framework for mathematics
- ready to use on any interactive whiteboard (using Vivid Whiteboard Tools)
- clearly explained for teachers’ ease (teacher’s planning zone also included)
- related to Interactive Teaching Programs (originally developed by the National Numeracy Strategy)
