Client: Trinity Hospice
Trinity Hospice's website was in need of a new content management system (CMS) due to their previous one letting them down on a regular basis. We were approached with a simple brief:
"Keep the front end and content the same - just completely replace the CMS with something intuitive that actually works."
A bit like the magic tablecloth trick, only with the entire back end of a website.
While predominantly designed for powering blogs, recent developments in WordPress 2.5 have made it even more viable for use as a lightweight CMS and this seemed like the perfect project for it. WordPress is well known for it's ease of use and inuitive interface.
Being a PHP framework, WordPress is not dissimilar to more common CMS solutions, allowing for the developer to not have to reinvent the wheel everytime a client requires a certain amount of back end functionality.
The job is now completed and the new CMS is up and running. "Everyone is delighted" is the response we recieved.
